SPOKANE, WASHINGTON – The Pages of Harmony chorus, a beloved fixture in Spokane’s music scene for over seven decades, is proud to announce their new name: Lilac City Voices. The name change reflects the clarity of the chorus’ mission and the inclusive nature of their group.

“We are thrilled to introduce ourselves as Lilac City Voices,” said chorus director, Logan Shevalier. “We chose this name to better represent our group’s purpose and values. The chorus was originally founded as a men’s ensemble, so choosing the name ‘Voices’ represents our recent change to welcome all genders into the chorus, and ‘Lilac City’ highlights our connection to the city we call home.”

Established in 1951, Lilac City Voices specializes in Barbershop Harmony, singing music ranging from jazz standards to Broadway and Disney favorites. They are a diverse group that welcomes singers of all genders, with a mission to share their love of music with the Spokane community. Lilac City Voices is a proud member of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Their upcoming Spring Concert, entitled “A Whole New World: An Enchanted Evening of A Cappella Disney Music,” features RiversEdge Chorus and Cheney High School Choirs. The show will take place on June 3, 2023 at 7 p.m. Lilac City Voices invites everyone to join them for an evening of enchanting harmonies and beloved Disney classics.
