Lilac City Voices

Formerly Pages of Harmony

Our story began in 1956, when Spokane’s Pages of Harmony chartered with the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), now the Barbershop Harmony Society. Since then, we have shared the joy of four-part harmony throughout Spokane and the Inland Northwest.

In 2021, the chorus welcomed women into its membership, becoming a mixed-gender ensemble. In April 2023, we announced our new name, Lilac City Voices—a tribute to our Spokane roots and our growing chorus.

Today, we present two full-scale shows annually, deliver singing valentines, and perform at dozens of community events. Our music spans Broadway, Disney, jazz, sacred hymns, classic standards, and playful parodies. From singing the National Anthem for the Spokane Indians, Spokane Velocity Football Club (soccer), and Spokane Chiefs to performing for veterans, schools, and community gatherings, we bring harmony to audiences across the region. We also compete in Division III of the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Evergreen District.

Our name has changed, but our commitment to music, fellowship, and community remains. We welcome singers of all genders, adults and students alike. Come sing with us and find the part that fits your voice!
